Atlantic Waves Festival
Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
Since 2003 we have worked alongside the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation on their 'Atlantic Waves' festival of Portuguese music. For the first 2 years of the festival (2001 – 2002) they had a very basic identity with poor ticket sales to match. CGF were keen to attract higher profile artists to the festival and in turn raise awareness of their work in the media and improve ticket sales.
We were appointed to completely overhaul the existing image and give the festival it's own sense of identity. We redesigned their logo and each year produce creative work loosely based on the theme of water. By using the same colour palette for each update we keep the identity consistent and prominent in London's constantly changing visual landscape, by changing the illustrative element we keep things fresh.
We produce a large range of materials for the festival including all stationery, programmes, posters, online, and press ads. We also manage the production. We work closely with printers to produce high quality promotional materials (often utilising special finishing techniques) that add to the festivals uniqueness.
